On November 3, the National Science and Technology Award Conference was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders attended the conference and presented awards to the winning representatives. The outstanding scientific and technological achievements of the projects participated by Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress and the second prize of Technical Invention.
The "Industrial Flue Gas Multi-pollutant Synergistic Deep Treatment Technology and Application" project jointly completed by Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute and Tsinghua University won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. The "Key Technologies and Industrialization of Macro-scale Preparation of High-Curvature Liquid-Surface Electrospinning Nonwoven Materials" project jointly completed by Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute and Donghua University won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award in 2020.
Among the award-winning projects, the composite filtration material developed by Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute have solved the problem of controlling the emission of flue gas particulates in industries such as cement, steel, and glass and achieved ultra-low emission limits, and overcome the key core technology of high-efficiency filtration materials. This new material product plays the role of "stabilizer" and "ballast stone" in major national projects, blue sky defense, epidemic prevention and control, and national economic construction.
