On March 9, 2008, CNBM successfully held a promotion seminar for specialized building materials in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

  Almost 150 companies and about 180 saudi business representatives attended this seminar. Mr. Li Yanlin, the counselor of the Economic & Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the P.R.C. in the K.S.A., Mr. Ma Yunwei, the president of Saudi-China Commercial Council and Mr. Obaid, the General Manager of the Northern Region Cement Company delivered addresses respectively in the conference.

  The conference was chaired by Mr. Wei Feng, the general manager of International Cooperation Dept. of CNBM group, and 35 representatives from the affiliated companies of CNBM attended to discuss with the business partners from Saudi building materials industry on the issue of complete sets of equipment of glass, plasterboard, wall materials and ceramics products etc., all the representatives from CNBM International, Hangzhou Institute, Xi’an Institute and Xianyang Institute expressed that they have benefited greatly from the communication, many projects with initial intentions would be made further in-depth negotiations.

  In the address, Mr. Ma Jianguo gave a comprehensive introduction of the CNBM Group and in particular the development of overseas business and the main achievements in the Middle East region. He said that on the established business accomplishment, 30 representatives from CNBM Group came in Saudi this time with high enthusiasm and sincerity of cooperation, wished to cooperate with Saudi business partners and to create greater success together.

  Mr. Ma Yunwei, as a Saudi, expressed his understanding of CNBM Group with fluent Chinese, he believed that it is suitable time for CNBM Group to come to Saudi Arabia, and also expounded the reputation and the credibility of the CNBM Group as a leading state-owned enterprise. He concluded that the products and the services provided by CNBM are exactly in accordance with the market requirements in Saudi, which would drive CNBM Group to splendid success in the future.

  Counselor Li delivered an address as the representative of the Government and gave nice wishes to the success of conference, he also made a brief introduction about the strategy of “go aboard” of Chinese government and the development tendency of the bilateral trade between China and Saudi Arabia. Undoubtedly, CNBM Group has caught the opportunity to promote the specialized products suitable for the local market, such as glass, wall materials, ceramics and composite materials etc.

  Finally, Mr. Obaid, the general manager of Northern Region Cement Company, shared his own experience of cooperating with CNBM for more than 2 years, which convincingly confirmed the abilities on project timing control and project management of CNBM, which has created great benefits for the Client.

  During the period in Saudi, Mr. Ma Jianguo had visited the Economic & Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the P.R.C. in K.S.A., the Saudi-China Commercial Council, the Pan Kingdom Company and the Zami Company, which was helpful to distribute positive effects in Saudi Arabia before the promotion seminar.
